Ingredients:

  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • Food coloring (optional)

Directions:

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 300°F (150°C) and lining two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy using an electric mixer.

  3. Gradually add granulated sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

  4. Sift together powdered sugar and almond flour in another bowl.

5.Gently fold dry ingredients into meringue mixture until smooth.

6.If desired add food coloring based on preference; gently folding it into batter until well combined

7.Transfer batter into piping bag fitted with round tip then pipe small circles onto prepared baking sheets

8.Tap each sheet firmly against counter few times help release air bubbles

9.Let piped shells sit out about minutes before putting them oven

10.Bake in preheated oven about minutes rotating halfway through.Cool completely on pan before removing

11.Once cooled,making filling cream softening butter beating room temperature along any extracts preferred!

12.Pipe dollop filling one shell then place second top gently press create sandwich.repeat process remaining shells
